As our Global Localization Manager you will take responsibility for Konecranes’ global localization portfolio and you will play a key role in driving our localization strategy as well as in developing continuously our approaches. In this role you will be part of our agile, cross-functional development team that is responsible for the harmonized information product portfolio, global processes and tools related to content management and delivery. As our Global Localization Manager you will work in close co-operation with content creation teams, marketing and communication professionals, IT and other stakeholders. Together with your colleagues from the procurement function, you will manage partnership with the Language Service Providers. You will also ensure that the global localization strategy is implemented throughout the company. This covers maintaining and streamlining localization processes and roles as well as localization workflows and guidelines for different teams.

 

Your key responsibilities:
•    Developing and implementing Konecranes global localization portfolio and strategy
•    Developing localization processes, workflows and technologies
•    Providing support, training and guidelines for Konecranes teams in all areas of localization
•    Collaborating with a team of localization coordinators
•    Managing relationship and communication with Language Service Providers
•    Following and improving the quality of localized content
•    Creating business cases and following localization budgets and spend
•    Developing and following metrics, KPIs, and reporting
•    Following localization industry in general, especially future trends and developments

What should you bring?
To succeed in this role, you need to have a solid knowledge of localization processes, principles, workflows and technologies as well as the industry that provides localization services. In addition to your previous experience from localization or translation technology domain, a strong business acumen is vital for the success. We expect that you have excellent communication and collaboration skills combined with the project and process management competency.

You are also expected to have:
•    Master’s degree in a relevant field (translation, languages, language technology, linguistics, technical communication, marketing or similar)
•    Ability to engage people and coordinate activities across a network of multiple contributors
•    Excellent command of English language, German language is an asset
•    Good problem-solving, risk management and prioritization skills
•    Passion for strategic thinking and understanding the end-to-end production process and its dependencies related to localization and publishing
•    Pro-active and self-driven attitude with strong development orientation and a service mindset

This role requires occasional business travels.
